The Omron switches on the two main buttons of the Aorus M5 are designed for extreme load and 50,000,000 clicks. All mouse buttons can be assigned individually using the Aorus software from Gigabyte, for example to be able to quickly reach desired functions or retrieve previously defined macros. The other buttons are also freely programmable, allowing a complete customization of the gaming mouse. Settings made are stored in the onboard memory of the mouse and are thus not bound to a computer.

The Aorus M5 gaming mouse features DPI control through the two switches on the top and an LED display on the front, which visualizes the respective sensitivity levels via white bars. The optical sensor Pixart 3389 detects movements even at a speed of up to 1016 centimeters per second high-precision and makes it possible to keep control of the game in every hectic situation.

The handling of the ergonomically shaped right-handed mouse is exemplary. Non-slip, optimally shaped rubber gripping surfaces and the matte surface prevent overloading of the wrist and ensure maximum comfort even after prolonged use. The scroll wheel offers plenty of grip thanks to its surface and the revolutionary distribution system allows the weights from 118 to 130.5 grams to be freely distributed and exchanged. The 1.8 meter long PVC cable is particularly flexible and, in conjunction with the Teflon feet, ensures undisturbed gliding. The Gigabyte software allows the Aorus logo's RGB lighting, the two side LED strips and the mouse wheel to be individually controlled and synchronized with other RGB components, providing complex lighting effects in up to 16.7 million colors.
