The Gigabyte GA-AX370-Gaming 3 is a motherboard in the ATX format and has a fast PCI Express 3.0 slot with full x16 connection for graphics cards. Furthermore, one PCIe 2.0 slot with x4 and x1 connection as well as two PCIe x1 slots for other expansion cards are available. As an X370 motherboard, the Gigabyte GA-X370 Gaming 3 also supports AMD's Crossfire technology for multi-GPU setups.

The four RAM banks take up to 64 GB of DDR4 memory, whereby corresponding memory can run at a maximum of 3,200 overclocked megahertz. The internal port repertoire includes a header for USB 3.0 (2 ports) and two for USB 2.0 (4 ports) as well as TPM, Clear CMOS and two RGB LED headers.

The board manages data carriers such as SSDs and hard disks via six SATA 6G ports (including RAID support) as well as an M.2 slot, which is connected to four PCI Express 3.0 lanes and thus enormously high speeds of up to 32 Gbit / s can reach.
