The powerful and exceedingly successful Supremacy EVO CPU water chillers from EK Water Blocks are available in the traditional CSQ as well as the newer EVO design and are offered in different material variants and colors. Since autumn 2016, all EK WB Supremacy EVO Water Blocks are only supporting the Intel Socket 115x as well as 2011 (-V3), while other sockets require optional mounting kits or backplates.

Details

This AMD retention module is compatible with all EK Supremacy EVO water chillers and supports the AMD motherboard socket AM4. Caution: AMD Sockets 754, 939, 940, FM1, FM2, FM2 +, AM2, AM2 +, AM3 and AM3 + are not supported due to differences in socket mounting of this kit! For older AMD motherboards, please use this kit (click here).

Thanks to Precise-Mount the installation is very convenient. All the screws, jetplates (nozzle plates) necessary for attaching to the AMD motherboard as well as the black EPDM rubber gasket are already included in the original delivery of the coolers. Therefore, only the AMD AM4 mounting plate and the AMD AM4 backplate are required for compatibility enhancement.

Decent if it had the rubber backplate

Had to cut larger holes into my AM3 gasket otherwise your board won't post as it can't ground correctly, even with the middle rubber piece included with the block.

I have no idea why EKWB doesn't supply the rubber with this kit as the blocks unusable without it.

Rating this 3 stars as its not exactly WCUKs fault :/ though I'm glad I can get the metal (which is arguably harder to ghetto rig)
