The Creative Sound Blaster G3 offers the possibility to operate any headset with a jack plug on devices such as PC, Mac, Nintendo Switch or PS4. For this purpose, 3.5 millimeter jacks for headphones and microphone are provided. The Sound Blaster G3 is connected to the respective playback device via USB-C or with the USB-A adapter and works driverless.

High-quality studio headphones with a resistance of up to 300 ohms are fed at the headphone output, so that high-end headphones can also be used. The user can adjust the volume ratio of voice chat and game sound and emphasize movement noises.

There are various controls on the housing of the Sound Blaster G3 that sweeten the everyday life of gamers: On the left side there is a rotary control for the microphone volume and a switch for muting the microphone. On the right side is a rotary control for adjusting the headphone volume and the GameVoice Mix. An additional switch is used to switch between the two functions. An illuminated button on the front is used to switch between the standard mode and the step amplifier mode, in which movement noises are acoustically highlighted in games.

With the smartphone app Sound Blaster Command for Android and iOS, audio settings such as the equalizer can be configured and the input volume of the microphone can be monitored. To do this, a Bluetooth connection is established with the Creative Sound Blaster G3.
