With the Obsidian 1000D Corsair has an exceptional housing flagship in the program. With the Obsidian 1000D Corsair presents a big tower of superlatives. The case of steel and aluminum covered with four Tempered Glass Panels is capable of accommodating the hardware of two systems, opening up entirely new possibilities for performance-hungry multitasking tasks. In addition to the motherboard tray, which can accommodate motherboards up to the E-ATX format, the top of the PSU Shroud offers the option to mount a mini-ITX motherboard.

Under the power supply cover then find two PSUs, each in ATX or SFX format space. The large side parts made of tempered glass are designed as magnetic closing double doors, can be completely removed via the hinges and thus ensure quick access to the hardware. To ensure that it can be cooled extensively, the housing has an enormous variety of mounting places for fans and water cooling components. On hinged two brackets, up to 13 fans and four radiators can be attached in the delivery condition. This makes it possible to simultaneously install four radiators in 480, 420 and 240 mm format.
Three-camera design & vertical GPU assembly
With separately available radiator inserts, the capacity can be extended to up to four 480-millimeter radiators and 18 fans. The interior also has plenty of mounting space for pumps and reservoirs and its three-chamber design ensures a clean look. This is achieved by two magnetic-closing double doors behind the motherboard tray, which cover the cables. Behind these are up to six 2.5-inch disks, five tool-free stowable 3.5-inch counterparts space. Three huge dust filters reliably prevent the ingress of dust into the housing interior and can be removed laterally for cleaning. Corsair Commander PRO controller included
Behind the mainboard tray, which is equipped with numerous hose and cable bushings, the control center for the fans and the RGB lighting can be found in the form of a Corsair Commander Pro controller. When the controller is connected to a corresponding header on the motherboard, it can control in detail two RGB channels and six PWM fans via the Corsair iCUE software and monitor four temperature sensors. In addition, Corsair Link-compatible devices can be connected via two USB headers.

The Tempered Glass Panels are mounted for optimum ventilation at greater distances from the rack. On the top of the case is a narrow strip of tempered glass, flanked by two aluminum covers. The front part of the lid has the I / O panel attached. It offers four USB 3.0 and two modern USB 3.1 Type C ports as well as the obligatory audio ports. The ports are also equipped with an addressable RGB lighting, which can be controlled via the Commander PRO.
