This is a carbon black nickel-plated, straight adapter with two 1/4 inch male threads. In addition, the connector is rotatable, which greatly simplifies the back off.

Note: The rotation function of the connections should always be used in not installed condition, because this is by design relatively sluggish. When installed, no force should be applied to terminals so as not to damage the connectors themselves and the cooler thereon.
