The planar magnetic drivers developed by Audeze exclusively for the Penrose ensure a very balanced sound image over the entire frequency range, are particularly precise and durable. The heights of this headset model are rich in detail and have a high resolution. Responsible for this are the planar magnetic drivers, which make a fine membrane oscillate in a magnetic field and ensure more precise and interference-free sound. Thanks to the closed design, the user is effectively shielded from ambient noise.

Freedom of connection and high ergonomics
The detachable and swiveling microphone is also of first class quality. An integrated noise gate ensures that even loud background noises are filtered out and only the voice of the recipient can be heard. The volume and mute switch are built into the left auricle for unhindered access, like all other control elements.

The Audeze Penrose connects to a PC, console or mobile device via a 3.5 mm jack plug or wirelessly via a 2.4 GHz dongle and Bluetooth 5.0. This makes the headset compatible with Playstation 4 and 5 as well as PCs, Macs and mobile devices. The maximum range is about 50 meters. The battery is also built into the headset and lasts up to 15 hours until it has to be recharged via a USB Type-C cable.

From an ergonomic point of view, the Audeze Penrose with its rotatable ear cups and padded headband offers a lot of flexibility and can be safely placed on the table or on the shoulders. The headband, like the ear cups, is made of memory foam and covered with soft synthetic leather.
