Thanks to the Ethernet LAN option, the router easily supplies up to four devices with data via cable.

In addition, the FRITZ! Box 7590 AX is equipped with extensive telephony properties. In addition to IP telephony based on the SIP standard, the DSL router also offers two a / b ports for analog telephony, fax machines or answering machines as well as an ISDN connection. A DECT base station is also integrated, to which up to six devices can be connected. The FRITZ! AVM also equips the FRITZ! Box 7590 AX with the particularly feature-rich FRITZ! OS firmware. This can be used, for example, to set up guest access that enables temporary and restricted connections in a separate network. In addition, the WLAN router can be integrated in a mesh or as a repeater with other routers from AVM, thus enabling uninterrupted access to the wireless network even in larger buildings.

Box 7590 AX, designed for office or home use, shines with additional security functions, such as secure remote access via VPN with IPSec and a professional firewall including packet inspection and port sharing. Of course, WLAN connections are encrypted with secure WPA2 and the modern Internet protocol IPv6 is also supported. If you want to use the FRITZ! Box 7590 AX exclusively as a LAN switch, you can switch off the WLAN and telephony completely using the switch on the device. With WLAN Eco, the WLAN router provides optimal performance in the wireless network with minimal power consumption. The DECT function is also operated in Eco mode, and voice transmission is encrypted at the factory.

The powerful dual-core processor ensures that the router does not have to process USB and network data at the same time. While one of the processors optimizes wired network connections, the other is responsible for WLAN connections. Because wired VDSL / ADSL and WLAN connections can each access their own processor with exclusive computing power, the FRITZ! Box 7590 AX from AVM achieves maximum performance for both connections without having to compromise.

The FRITZ! Box 7590 AX is also particularly suitable for distributing video and audio content. Even streaming IPTV content from the Internet router through the FRITZ! Box 7590 AX to the television works perfectly thanks to the extensive VDSL support. Pictures, music and videos from storage media connected to one of the two USB 3.0 ports on the FRITZ! Box can be played back on UPnP-AV-compatible receivers (HD televisions, stereo systems). Or a USB printer can be made available to the entire network. Another possibility is to connect a UMTS / HSPA / LTE stick there and establish a direct connection to the Internet.

Box 7590 AX VPN server over the Internet and access services such as media players or shared files from anywhere in the world as if they were at home. The FRITZ! Box 7590 AX already supports IPv6 and is therefore optimally designed for the future in the exclusively IPv6-supported Internet. Furthermore, a mixed operation of IPv4 & IPv6 is supported; thus there are no compatibility problems with existing networks.
