The ASUS TUF Gaming Z590-PLUS is an Intel Z590 motherboard in the ATX form factor and provides a total of two PCIe x16 slots for expansion cards. A PCIe x16 slot is connected to the CPU with 16 lanes and supports PCIe 4.0. The second PCIe x16 slot is connected to the chipset via 4 PCIe 3.0 lanes. The mainboard also offers two PCIe 3.0 x1 slots for additional plug-in and expansion cards.

random access memory
The four DIMM slots support up to 128 GB DDR4 memory in dual-channel mode. The Z590 chipset supports clock rates of up to 3,200 MHz natively. However, the ASUS TUF Gaming Z590-PLUS also enables the operation of RAM kits up to 5,133 MHz via OC.

Drives
The ASUS TUF Gaming Z590-PLUS offers three M.2 slots for SSDs. The top one is connected directly to the CPU with 4 lanes and supports PCIe 4.0. It uses the four additional 4 PCI Express lanes provided by the 11th generation. Two further M.2 slots are connected to the chipset with PCIe 3.0. Six SATA 6G connections are also available for additional SSDs, hard drives and optical drives.

Attention! The top M.2 slot M.2_1 only works in combination with Intel Core CPUs of the 11th generation "Rocket Lake" and is deactivated with processors of the 10th generation "Comet Lake".

The ASUS TUF Gaming Z590-PLUS has a USB 3.2 port with a maximum speed of 20 Gbit / s on the I / O panel.
