A TU106 with 2,304 CUDA cores on the GeForce RTX 2070 is used as the graphics chip. The chip is manufactured using the 12 nm FinFET process and is based on the "Turing" GPU architecture. GDDR6-VRAM with a capacity of 8 GB is used as memory, while ray tracing and tensor cores provide fantastic light and shadow effects.

The graphics chip of the ASUS GeForce RTX 2070 Dual 8G EVO V2 clocks ex works with a base clock of 1,410 MHz and a preset boost clock of 1,620 MHz. The latter is automatically activated via GPU boost if the graphics chip requires more power. The graphics card can also be switched to OC mode by software, which increases the boost clock to 1,650 MHz. The GDDR6 video memory clocks at a very fast 7,000 MHz (effectively 14,000 MHz), which is almost 75 percent faster than its direct predecessor. The capacity of 8 GB VRAM enables gaming with 4K resolution or in virtual reality. A dual fan design is used as the cooler.
