Depending on your taste, the Thermaltake Core P5 can be used as a midi, desktop or wall housing. In terms of format, it looks more or less like a classic midi tower case at first glance, but does not really fit into this category. The open design and the large hard-glass panes on the complete left side, the front and the lid of the case give the user a perfect view of the installed hardware and three options regarding the construction. Whether placed vertically with the included stand feet, horizontally laid or wall mounted, the Core P5 looks good in any situation and definitely deserved the title "Showcase".

Thanks to the generous space and the chassis dimensions of 570 x 608 x 333 mm (W x H x D), the Core P5 also includes motherboards with ATX, micro ATX and mini ITX form factors. With a maximum CPU cooler height of 180 mm and a graphics card length of 280 mm (with Wakü reservoir) or 320 mm (without Wakü reservoir), the case provides space for powerful gaming hardware. In order to cool this hardware accordingly, either air or water cooling can be used, the Core P5 being designed for water cooling, since normal fans, because of the construction, do not generate any airflow on the installed hardware. The space offer for a powerful water cooling is not to be ignored, because on the right side radiators with a length of 120 - 480 mm are supported.

A special highlight, which benefits the optics of the system is the accommodation of the graphics or other expansion card. Instead of plugging them directly onto the motherboard as usual, a riser cable is used here, with the help of which the board is mounted rotated by 90 degrees and thus stands upright in the middle housing area - the side, which normally accommodates the fans of the graphics card, Is thus just as visible as the mainboard in the interaction with the glass cover. Optical delicacies, which can be used with a backplate in normal housings, can be seen here - as well as high-quality mainboards and storage latches with chic heat spreaders.

The Core P5 does not require optical drives, but a total of four 2.5 or 3.5-inch drives can be installed on fast-change hard disk slides, one of these slots being fully visible on the front of the chassis, and the remaining three Hidden at the back. In addition, there are two USB 3.0 / 2.0 ports, HD Audio In / Out, as well as the power and reset button on the I / O panel. Thanks to the modular design and the five rubberized cable glands, optimized cable management can also be implemented. If you want to use a full 45 mm slot on the back, you can remove the three rear hard disk slides.

As a special feature for modders and PC enthusiasts, the Core P5 supports a wide range of possibilities to incorporate their own ideas and to adapt the design individually to the personal preferences.
