The 27UL650-W from LG offers a 27-inch, matte display with a resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 pixels (4K). Thanks to short response times of 5 ms (GtG), the LG 27UL650-W displays image content without delay. However, the main focus is on immersive games such as role-playing games in which the focus is on colors and graphic details, content creation and activities in the home office.

The monitor's IPS panel impresses in particular with its very high color accuracy and stable 178 ° viewing angle. The 27UL650-W displays 1.073 billion colors with native 8 bits and 2 bits per FRC and supports DisplayHDR 400 for particularly natural-looking colors.

Thanks to the high brightness value of 350 cd / m², the monitor can also be used in relatively well-lit rooms. With HDR switched on, the 27UL650-W achieves a maximum brightness value of 400 cd / m², which earns it a DisplayHDR 400 certification. The contrast value of 1,000: 1 clearly shows differences between light and dark areas of the image.

Adaptive synchronization against tearing and stutter
With AMD FreeSync, the 27UL650-W supports a feature that significantly improves subjective gaming perception. The variable adjustment of the refresh rate to the images per second supplied by the graphics card prevents disruptive tearing effects. Especially when the frame rate drops in particularly hardware-hungry games, the gaming experience looks smoother and more trouble-free thanks to this feature.

Since the 27UL650-W is aimed at gamers and business alike, LG has equipped it with some useful functions. For example, a black equalizer can be switched on, which brightens dark areas of the picture to make it easier to spy on enemies. Game mode uses preconfigured settings to ideally adapt the image to the gaming genre.

To increase productivity, be it for content creation, home office or home schooling, functions such as picture-in-picture or screen split can be switched on using the in-house OnScreen Control software. This means that several tasks can be mastered at the same time without losing sight of the essentials.

Connections and ergonomics
Output devices can be easily connected to the monitor via a DisplayPort 1.4 and two HDMI 2.0 connections. A 3.5 mm jack connection is available for headphones.

The monitor can be adjusted to your own sitting position using a tilt and pivot mechanism and the infinitely height-adjustable base up to 110 mm. Thanks to the VESA holes with a distance of 100 x 100 mm, it is also possible to attach the monitor to an alternative monitor bracket.
