The SteelSeries Apex 9 TKL is a high-quality ten-keyless gaming keyboard with high-quality optical switches and a durable frame made of fine aircraft aluminum. The successor to the Apex 7 gaming keyboard has many of the advantages of its predecessor model, such as synchronization with audio signals or other SteelSeries devices. The linear OptiPoint optical switches were developed in cooperation with SteelSeries and are designed for a particularly long service life with 100 million guaranteed keystrokes. The switches have an infrared sensor that is interrupted when the button is pressed.

This interruption is immediately recognized as a keystroke. This makes the optical switches ideal for fast, action-packed games that involve quick key sequences and repetition. Another advantage of optical switches is the lower mechanical wear and tear on the switches thanks to the use of the infrared sensor and the associated longevity. The trigger pressure is approximately 35 g. You can adjust the height at which the switch should trigger to suit your individual needs. You can choose from 1 mm or 1.5 mm release height.
