Noctua NF-A15 PWM fan - 140mm [NF-A15 PWM]

The NF-A15 is a premium 140mm silent fan with AAO (Advanced Acoustic Optimization) round frame and 120mm mounting holes (105mm pitch). For even better cooling performance on current high-end CPU coolers, the width has been increased to 150 mm and thanks to advanced aerodynamic design measures such as flow acceleration channels, the NF-A15 achieves even better silent performance than the multi-award-winning NF-P14.

Noctua's specially designed PWM IC for fully automatic speed control and the SSO2 reference class bearing guarantee superb smoothness and outstanding long-term stability. The modular cabling, the low-noise adapter and a 6-year manufacturer's guarantee make the NF-A15 a top solution for the highest demands.

Noctua's NF-P14 has become a standard solution for PC enthusiasts who require premium quality 140mm fans. Thanks to far-reaching aerodynamic optimization, the NF-A14 achieves even higher static pressure than its well-known predecessor, as well as a further improved ratio of delivery capacity and noise development.

The NF-A15 was specially developed for use on current high-end CPU coolers: the width of 150 mm corresponds to that of most current heat sinks and thanks to the height of 140 mm the fan does not protrude upwards, which guarantees the best case compatibility . The 120 mm mounting holes (105 mm hole spacing) also make the NF-A15 an ideal upgrade for 120 mm case or CPU fans.

The impeller of the NF-A15 is equipped with so-called Flow Acceleration Channels on the suction side. By accelerating airflow in the critical outer regions of the fan blades, suction-side vortex shedding is reduced, resulting in higher efficiency and lower turbulence-related noise emissions.

Noctua's AAO (Advandced Acoustic Optimization) frames have integrated vibration buffers as well as a stepped inlet area (Stepped Inlet Design) and an inner microstructure (Inner Surface Microstructures), which enable even better performance/noise efficiency.

The anti-vibration pads made of extra-soft silicone reduce the transmission of the smallest vibrations and are also compatible with all standard screws and commercially available mounting systems or fan clips used with CPU coolers.

The NF-A15 PWM supports fully automatic speed control via PWM and uses Noctua's new, specially designed NE-FD1 chip. This new PWM IC integrates Noctua's Smooth Commutation Drive (SCD) technology, which minimizes PWM switching noise and makes the fan even quieter at low speeds.

The NF-A15 is equipped with the further optimized second generation of Noctua's proven SSO bearing system. With SSO2, the rear magnet sits closer to the fan axis for even better stabilization, resulting in further improved precision and durability.

Despite its further improved performance, the power consumption of the NF-A15 is only 0.96W, which corresponds to a reduction of approx. 20% compared to the previous model. So the NF-A15 is not only environmentally friendly, but also helps you to reduce the electricity bill!
