Lamptron HDD Rubber Screws PRO - Red [LAMP-RS7003]

Hard disks and optical drives inevitably generate vibrations due to their rotating magnetic disks or disks, which they pass on to the housing via the fastenings and thus also make it vibrate. The result is a noise that mostly turns out to be a roar.

In order to prevent said vibration transmission and to reduce the development of noise, the drives should be decoupled from the housing. In contrast to most of the solutions, the one offered here can be used universally in every 3.5 "and 5.25" bay, is easy to install and very inexpensive.

The screws replace the screws normally used. The vibration damping effect is generated by a rubber ring. This is either simply screwed against the shaft from the outside or guided into a correspondingly larger opening with a central recess. The second method is the more efficient one to dampen the transmission of vibrations, since there is no direct metal contact and the rubber can better absorb the movements.

In this version, the said rubber is also colored red. The vibration damping not only ensures a quieter system, but also adds an additional eye-catcher to the look.

As a rule, the screws can also be used to attach fans, power supplies and other components, provided that the appropriate thread is available.
