Characteristics are high resolutions paired with a fast refresh rate. Thanks to a length of 10 m, the HDMI cable is also suitable for connecting devices that are far away. RedMere cables have tiny integrated circuits that amplify the HDMI signal. This means that RedMere cables can be made thinner and longer than conventional HDMI cables.

The HDMI 2.0 standard allows data transmission of 18 Gbit / s, which enables resolutions of 1,920 x 1,080 at 120 Hz with activated 3D as well as 4,096 x 2,160 (4K) at 60 Hz.
