The SteelSeries 840 Wireless Gaming Headset is the direct successor to the well-known and successful SteelSeries 800 wireless headset and, compared to its predecessor, has a tidy touch of sophistication and functionality. New additions are the Bluetooth support, individual settings thanks to the SteelSeries Engine 3 and the OLED display for useful information on the transmitter. Proved features like two removable batteries, Dolby 7.1 surround sound, high connectivity and excellent sound quality are of course retained.

With the Siberia 840 Wireless Gaming Headset, SteelSeries introduces a wireless universal headset that supports virtually every imaginable platform - from PC and Mac to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, smartphones, tablets, home theater systems and televisions . The Siberia 840's transmitter box has a large number of connections, among other things. USB (digital), S / PDIF (optical) and also jack (analog).

The already very flexible connectivity is now even more comprehensive thanks to Bluetooth support and therefore also makes calls with VoIP programs via mobile devices. For gamers, this means you can now receive calls or stream music without losing your headset.

The headset itself is enormously valuable processed, shields with its closed auricles excellently from the acoustic environment and nestles itself by the perfectly upholstered headband and the leathery ear cushions to each head gently. Great sound in all positions is guaranteed because 40 mm neodymium drivers of the next generation in the auricles provide a rich frequency coverage with a lot of "punch" in the bass range.

Two fast removable lithium-ion batteries allow for high operating times and can be recharged directly in the transmitter box, where the charging status is also displayed. The powerful SteelSeries Engine 3 software can also be used to manage multiple profiles, make extensive equalizer settings, and operate GameSense features. A "Sound Share" port is also attached to the headset itself, a 3.5-inch jack socket on which a second handset can connect its playback device.
