The ASUS GeForce GTX 1060 3G Turbo White has a base clock of 1.506 MHz. With GPU-Boost 3.0 it can be increased to a boost clock of 1.708 MHz. The memory clock is at 4.004 MHz (effectively 8.008 MHz) MHz. A white, semi-passive cooling design with radial fans is used to cool the graphics card.

The 3 GB GDDR5 video memory of the GTX 1060 is connected to the GPU via a 192-bit memory interface, which achieves a memory bandwidth of 192 GB / s. The GP106 graphics chip of the 3-GB version has 1.152 shader units, which are designated as CUDA cores in NVIDIA.

The GTX-1060 graphics card family supports DirectX 12 and current gaming technologies, including NVIDIA Ansel, GameWorks, Warp, Stereo-X, VR-Audio, PhysX and SMP (Simultaneous Multi-Projection). SMP 4.0 offers great advantages for VR, curved displays and multi-display setups.

Thanks to SMP 4.0, Pascal supports 16 simultaneous viewports, which allow a much more realistic display on several monitors or on curved displays. Especially the gambling in the Virtual Reality (VR) benefits from the new technology, because two viewports can be rendered in one run. By using multiple viewports, the rendered image also comes with a smaller number of calculated pixels.

The GeForce GTX 1060 works with a TDP of only 120 watts and it is recommended to use a power supply with a power of at least 400 watts. The GeForce GTX 1060 has an HDMI 2.0b connector, three DisplayPort 1.4 connectors, and a dual-link DVI output. The HDMI port supports HDCP 2.2 and can send and receive encrypted signals.

In order to make full use of the card's full potential, new drivers from NVIDIA or ASUS should be downloaded and installed at regular intervals.
