The be quiet! Thanks to the large mesh lid and front, Pure Base 500DX offers excellent options for high-performance cooling solutions: three 120 or two 140 fans can be attached to the front, there is space for two 140 or 120 models in the lid and a 140 can also be installed on the back or 120 fans can be installed. When shipped from the factory, the Pure Base 500 offers three preinstalled 140-millimeter Pure Wings 2 fans, one on the front and one on the back, and one on the cover of the case. The Pure Base 500DX also offers space for CPU coolers up to 190 millimeters high.

The installation of custom and all-in-one water cooling was also considered: the front is suitable for a 360 or 280 radiator, while a 240 mm heat exchanger can be accommodated in the lid and a 140 or 120 model on the rear wall .

In addition to the 225 mm long power supplies, the power supply cover also houses two 3.5-inch drives and one 2.5-inch drive in a modular drive cage. The decoupled installation reduces vibrations and enables low-noise operation. Two 2.5-inch drives can be installed on the SSD panel between the mainboard tray and the front, two additional 2.5-inch SSDs can be found on the SSD bracket on the back of the MB tray. A maximum length of 369 millimeters is provided for graphics cards.
