The RTX 2080's TU104 graphics chip, based on the Turing architecture, is manufactured using the 12nm FinFET process and is responsible for the speed boost over the 10 series in addition to the GDDR6 graphics memory. For particularly realistic light and shadow effects, the used ray-tracing technology, which is also the reason for changing the name in GeForce RTX.

The base clock of the ZOTAC GAMING GeForce RTX 2080 Twin Fan is 1.515 MHz, but with a high load, the graphics chip automatically increases the clock rate via GPU Boost 4.0 to up to 1.770 MHz boost clock. The innovative and very fast GDDR6 video memory clocks at 7,000 MHz (effectively 14,000 MHz), while the capacity of 8 GB VRAM make gambling at 4K resolution or virtual reality a real pleasure. As a cooler, a dual-fan design is used.
