- Water cooler for direct die assembly and enormous cooling
- Microfin cooler made of nickel-plated copper
- Replaces ILM and heat spreader
- Cover made of acrylic glass and aluminum
- G1/4-inch connections for easy integration into the cooling circuit
- Optimal cooling for your CPU
The Intel Mycro Direct-Die Pro RGB V1 is equipped with a jet system on the cooler surface and the cooling channel slot width has been optimized. The cold plate of the cooler is made of nickel-plated copper and is mounted directly on the CPU chip. For this, the Integrated Loading Mechanism (ILM) of the mainboard is removed and the processor must be decapitated. Nickel plating of the cooler plate creates a barrier layer so that gallium-based liquid metal cannot diffuse into the copper and repeated application of liquid metal is usually not necessary.
Attractive design with RGB lighting
Between the cold plate and the anodized aluminum cover there is acrylic glass, which is subjected to a tempering process after milling, which frees the acrylic glass from internal stresses. This ensures that even after a long period of use, no stress cracks form in the acrylic glass, as can happen with hardened acrylic glass. Under the aluminum cover there are RGB LEDs that are controlled via the mainboard via a 3-pin ARGB header (+5V/DATA/GND). The LEDs illuminate the acrylic glass under the cover and the G1/4-inch connections in the cover.
Note on using KryoSheet
The Intel Mycro Direct Die Pro RGB V1 was extensively tested internally in various application scenarios. During development, greater emphasis was placed on stable operation of the processor and RAM. In our test series, KryoSheet in combination with the Intel Mycro Direct Die Pro RGB V1 was unable to achieve any significant improvements in terms of temperature and was problematic in terms of contact pressure. We therefore cannot recommend thermal pads because their additional thickness greatly influences the contact pressure and can thus impair function.
Note: Removing the heat spreader ("decapping", "delidding") of a processor is at your own risk! Decapping the CPU voids the manufacturer's warranty! Damage caused by decapping the CPU is not covered by the manufacturer's warranty!
Removing the integrated loading mechanism (ILM) of the mainboard can lead to the loss of the mainboard manufacturer's warranty!
