The P30 does not use the slow SATA interface, but allows significantly higher speeds using PCIe 3.0 x4 and NVMe protocol. Thus even the smallest delays disappear at the start of the operating system, programs or games.

The Teamgroup P30 SSD series is available in M.2 format, type 2280 (22 mm width, 80 mm length) and is connected with 4 data lines via PCI Express 3.0. Also, the slow SATA-6G interface with its bandwidth limit is dispensed, instead the NVMe protocol is used, resulting in a tremendous speed increase. Current motherboards have already supported the NVMe protocol, but there are also PCI Express adapter cards that allow the use of the P30 SSD.
The 480 GB memory of the Teamgroup P30 can be used with up to 2,500 MB reading as well as 1,300 MB writing. This is more than four times as much as the still widely distributed SATA SSDs. The IOPS in the 4KB random read / write are correspondingly high and are 180,000 and 140,000, respectively.
Note: The TRIM function is only supported optimally by modern operating systems (from Windows 7).
