Streacom ST FC10S Alpha HTPC fanless aluminum housing - silver [ST-FC10S-ALPHA]

The FC10S Alpha has a slightly different design compared to FC10S. It is now located on each side of a USB 3.0 port and instead fan grille slots ventilation openings at other locations are available. Here is the version without slot for an optical drive - for systems with such a drive is also a variant with a corresponding opening available.

This housing made of sandblasted aluminum offers a variety of features such as direct touch heatpipe cooling and a little more space for drives thanks to the hard drive mounting. The FC10S Alpha is far more than a computer case - as a work of art, it combines form and function. This may actually absorb mainboard in standard ATX format.

Minimalist design and the use of high quality materials distinguish the case continues. The entire outer envelope (and the on / off switch) is made of sandblasted aluminum. The FC10S Alpha has a passive CPU cooling with four heatpipes including mounting hardware for all current socket. CPUs are operated up to a TDP of 95 W (with sufficient airflow around the body) can passively (recommended 65 W TDP).

Two USB 3.0 ports that are internally connected to the motherboard is already installed at the factory. In addition to mini-ITX can be installed in FC10S Alpha and the (micro) ATX standard. There are three 2.5-inch and two 3.5-inch drives are used simultaneously internally. It even three additional 3.5-inch drives and another 2.5-inch drive can be installed depending on the components used. Two full-size expansion cards can also be used for this, however, the use of riser cards or cables required.

The solid aluminum front with 4 mm thick at the front and 9mm at the sides only has recesses for the optional infrared interface and the power button. If the hardware is installed, only very few openings are available. Only at the sides, in the bottom and in the cover vent holes are let.
