With the help of Hwbot and OverClocking-TV Streacom has succeeded in gathering some of the greats of the international overclocking community behind them. It is against the background of the "Open Benchtable Project" that Streacom didn't just develop a compact Mini-ITX or NUC case, but instead a cleverly designed, portable and open benchmarking table.
The Streacom BC1 Benchtable at a Glance:
Compact dimensions & low weight of just 805 g for maximum portability
Folds down like a camping table to a height of just 8 mm
No length restrictions for GPU(s), power supplies or CPU coolers
2x 2,5" drives and 2x radiators up to 170 mm
Tool-free installation thanks to finger screws
Open Design for Creative Expansions and Add-ons
The word "open" works on two levels here, that's because the Streacom BC1 Mini not only allows the hardware access to fresh air, it also enables third parties and 3D printing enthusiasts to develop and sell their own accessories. This is in addition to the official accessories sold by Streacom. The special thing about the BC1 Mini though, is this: The benchtable can be disassembled like a camping table at any time and this allows it to be transported more easily. It also makes setting up a test platform at events incredibly easy - and a dream for overclockers!
Compact Dimensions & Extremely Light Weight for Maximum Mobility
The perfect accessory for overclockers, enthusiasts, cryptocoin miners and specialists that need a comfortable and portable benchtable, the BC1 Mini is constructed from a combination of steel and lightweight aluminium. The resulting weight is a mere 805 g. The design's objective of creating a mobile hardware platform is rounded off by the addition of a practical carry handle which allows the benchtable to be transported like hand luggage.
What is more, the dimensions of the benchtable at just 19 cm by 23 cm with a height of 7,8 cm (assembled) and 8 mm (disassembled) are incredibly convenient. Power supplies can be a maximum of 8 kg and radiators may weigh a maximum of 4 kg per bracket, while the permissible total weight of all installed components is 15 kg.
Superior Versatility with Extensive Hardware Support
A 140/120 mm fan can be attached to sliding brackets on the right and left-hand side of each bracket, which can optionally be replaced by radiators up to 170 mm. In addition to knurled screws, spacers and brackets, the stands are also stowed in the base plate and have rubberised feet to ensure a secure hold on common surfaces. The power supply unit is simply placed under the benchtable when assembled and can be attached to the base plate in the desired orientation. Two 2,5" hard drives or SSDs can be discreetly placed on the underside opposite the PSU.
Tool-less Installation for Greater Comfort
Thanks to thumbscrews and push-pin spacers for the motherboard, all components can be mounted without any tools. All screws, spacers and brackets are made of sturdy steel for optimum stability. All protruding parts can be securely stowed in the aluminium plate for transport, making it extremely easy to move the entire benchtable to another location.
