The Silverstone SST-ECS03 is equipped with the "ASMedia-1062" controller, which allows the configuration of storage devices in RAID 0, 1, SPAN or non-RAID.

RAID 0 provides this increased speed at waiving data security, RAID 1 mirrors data to a hard drive on another and SPAN summarizes two, differently sized storage into a single logical volume together.

If no RAID desired, the Silverstone SST-ECS03 can also be simply used to integrate two additional hard drives - as if enough SATA ports are available on the motherboard.

An additional alternative low profile bezel is included with the RAID controller.
