Silverstone SST-CS280 Mini-ITX Storage, black [SST-CS280]

Eight of these data carriers are located behind a front door made of brushed aluminum and can be comfortably mounted over lockable, hot-swapable drive cages. A customized backplane is used to support SATA and SAS interfaces. This ensures high compatibility with modern hard disks and SSDs. Note, however, that a mainboard or an expansion card with a hardware SAS controller is required to use a SAS drive.

In addition to the eight drive cages in the front, there is another 2.5-inch slot inside the mini-ITX and mini-DTX motherboard. The SST-CS280 also has two low-profile expansion slots that allow the installation of graphics cards or expansion cards with a maximum length of 220 mm and a maximum width of 60.75 mm. Furthermore, there are two 80 mm fans for efficient ventilation behind the front, which are protected against dirt by a removable dust filter.

In addition, the housing takes power supplies in compact SFX format and is equipped behind the front panel with two USB 3.0 ports as well as audio connectors.
