The big advantage is a particularly attractive price offer, without having to do without cooling performance. All ArgonTowers are made of an aluminum radiator and several copper heatpipes, which are directly attached to the heat spreader of the processor thanks to HDC technology (Heatpipe Direct Contact) and thereby dissipate their heat into the lamella tower.
Also not to be despised and standard with every Silverstone Argon already included: a blue-white fan with 4-pin PWM connector, which is fully controlled depending on the utilization and heat development of the CPU from a compatible motherboard. Because Silverstone now has some experience in fan construction, as well as an innovative vibration-damping mounting on the Argon cooler, each fan offers a great balance between air circulation and low-noise operation. The cooler is also compatible with current Intel motherboard sockets (LGA 1150, 1151, 1155, 1156) and can be mounted very quickly and comfortably via the push pin design.
The Silverstone SST-AR09-115XP offered here is an extremely compact tower cooler, with three smartly arranged heatpipes à 6 mm in diameter, which is suitable for 2U rackmounts or housings with a small form factor. Into the base, the heatpipes transport the waste heat into the 9.3 cm wide and 6.6 cm high radiator block. A seven-bladed 60 mm fan with plain bearing ensures a proper air throughput of up to 47.40 m³ / h at a full speed of 5,000 rpm, causing no more than 42.5 dB (A). It can also act very quietly - throttled by pulse width modulation - if it scoops at just 1,200 rpm with only just over 18.02 dB (A) air.
