Efficient CPU cooling with the Scythe Mugen 5

In contrast to its predecessor, the Mugen 5 has a slightly modified design. Due to the six inclined heatpipes, the asymmetrically arranged heat sink does not sit directly above the floor plate, thus permitting unrestricted access to the storage banks, which can also accommodate large storage bins with large heat sinks. The contact points of the six heatpipes were expediently distributed over the large aluminum heat sink and provide a high heat transport capacity with a total of 12 risers.

The other design details correspond to the usual Scythe cooler range. The slats are therefore made of aluminum, while the floor is made of copper and protected by a nickel layer. A 120 mm fan is included in the delivery. If necessary, another can be installed. The brackets required for this are included in the scope of supply.

The enclosed fan is a PWM model from the Kaze Flex range from Scythe with a very wide control range from 300 to 1200 rpm. As a result, the Mugen 5 is equipped from ultra-silent to overclocking for every application, finally producing a speed of just 4 dB (A) at a minimum speed and transporting almost 86.93 m³ / h at maximum speed.

The mounting kit offers a very high compatibility for AMD (AM2 (+), AM3 (+), AM4, FM1, FM2 (+)) and Intel processors (775, 115x, 1366, 2011 (-V3)). In addition, with its solid screw connection, it ensures a secure fit of the cooler even during transport. Heat conductive paste and installation instructions are also included in the delivery.
