The new Samsung "Phoenix" controller of this hyper-fast drive supports four standard PCI Express lanes of the standard 3.0, which make a theoretical maximum of about 3,900 MB / s possible! Highly efficient 3D V-NAND with 64 layers
In the case of the 3D V-NAND memory (or only V-NAND) of the Samsung 970 PRO, the memory cells are cylindrically stacked in several layers.
