It has six copper heatpipes, a black anodized aluminum heat sink and a height of only 6.8 centimeters, including 120 mm fans.
The Raijintek Pallas 120 RGB low-profile CPU cooler at a glance:
- Particularly low height of only 68 mm
- Six direct heatpipes made of copper with a diameter of six millimeters
- Ultra-thin Raijintek 120mm PWM fan with RGB LED illumination
- Chic, black anodized aluminum heat sink
- Suitable for common AMD and Intel processors
The Raijintek Pallas 120 RGB: flat and powerful
Pallas is a member of the gods of the Titans in Greek mythology and also the design used in the CPU cooler and the newly developed technologies are worthy of a real Titan. The low-profile cooler is ideal for Mini ITX enclosures and anywhere else where flat but powerful coolers are in demand. Thanks to its clever design, it also achieves the highest level of compatibility with mainboards and corresponding memory modules.
The heat sink is aligned so that the aluminum fins extend only in one direction, thereby also low RAM modules to cool or expansively large heat spreaders in storage or heatsink on the motherboard to go out of the way. The orientation is flexibly selectable. The aluminum heat sink, like the copper heatpipes, is completely black.
Heatsink and heatpipes
Thanks to the large cooling surface, the cooling performance of the 68-millimeter-high top blower is also convincing, as the fins are passed through from a phalanx to six heatpipes - outstanding in this size class. The copper heatpipes rely on the design mentioned by Raijintek C.D.C. technology with direct contact to the CPU. This removes the waste heat even more effectively.
The elegantly designed and specially developed connection of the nickel-plated lamellas with the six heatpipes dispenses with the soldering of the individual layers, which are pressed instead. On the one hand, this measure minimizes the risk of damaging the heat pipes and increases the efficiency of heat dissipation, on the other hand, it results in a much lower environmental impact and the Raijintek Pallas RGB is produced entirely in the spirit of green IT.
Fan and mounting
The black fan is a quiet, 120 mm slim model with a height of only 1.3 centimeters and 4-pin PWM connection and a surprisingly high maximum airflow of 70 m³ / h. It can be controlled by the motherboard, the automatic adjustment regulates the fan depending on the power requirements and the Pallas RGB can be whisper quiet when it is necessary but also provide maximum cooling performance. In addition, the fan is equipped with RGB LED lighting: The ten light diodes can be connected to the mainboard via a 4-pin RGB header.
The CPU cooler is screwed by means of backplate and thus sits very firmly and stably. Even regularly transported computers experience a higher level of security. In addition, the mounting kit is suitable for all modern sockets from Intel and AMD. Every current socket and therefore all suitable CPUs can be used by the Pallas thanks to the mounting kit. The easy-to-install installation is very user-friendly and explained clearly in the included instructions.
