The developers at Raijintek have given particular thought to cooling. The front is now completely made of a fine mesh. A huge 200 mm fan can be installed behind it. The back and bottom also have holes, as does the aluminum cover. This allows cool air to reach the hardware installed from all sides. The tempered glass side panels are also attached with spacers so that air can also be exchanged from the side.
The Raijintek METIS EVO TG Mini-ITX case at a glance:
- Compact mini-ITX case made of anodized aluminum in blue with black interior
- Two attached side windows for adequate hardware presentation
- Mini-ITX motherboard support
- Graphics cards up to 28 cm and CPU coolers up to 13.5 cm
- Space for two 2.5-inch and two 3.5-inch data carriers
- Space for a 200 mm fan on the front, a total of four fans possible
- Fan slots on the lid and the back for further optional fans
- Compact mini ITX case with a wonderfully elegant design
Externally, the METIS EVO TG impresses with its simple but elegant design in elegant blue, which only features the illuminated power button on the mesh front, a USB 3.0 port of type A and a USB 3.0 port of type C is decorated. Two tinted tempered glass panels with the Raijintek logo embellish the left and right sides of the case. They are attached with spacers so that air can also be exchanged from there. In addition, the two glass sides allow a look inside the housing and thus also the possibility of optically upgrading the housing with LED lighting.
The housing of the slim cube case for Mini-ITX mainboards is made of two millimeters thick, colored anodized aluminum and measures only 29.3 cm (width) by 26.3 cm (height) by 29 cm (depth). The vertically aligned mainboard is attached to the steel frame, which extends over the back, bottom and front. These three sides are also provided with a mesh, the front is also covered with a finer mesh, which also serves as a dust filter.
Raijintek METIS EVO TG: Innovative design, optimally cooled
With the innovative design of the METIS EVO TG, Raijintek has thus created a good balance between the smallest possible volume and yet usable space and thus combines an appealing flexibility when choosing components with a small footprint. The additional fan slots are new here. Up to two 92 mm fans can now be attached to the rear, and either a 92 mm or even a 120 mm fan can be placed on the floor. The front 200 mm fan can be replaced by small versions in 140 or 120 mm format. This creates an effective airflow that cools the hardware installed inside. A CPU cooler can be up to 135 millimeters high. If you prefer all-in-one water cooling, you can attach the radiator up to 200 millimeters at the front. Then, however, the length of the dual-slot graphics card is limited from a maximum of 280 millimeters to 220 millimeters.
The METIS EVO TG also offers enough space to mount two 2.5 / 3.5-inch drives in the HDD cage under the lid. There is also room for two 2.5-inch drives on the HDD cage and on the floor. , The full-fledged ATX power supply on the back can be replaced by a compact SFX power supply, the bracket required for this is included in the case. This is how technology miracles become possible! At the bottom there are the stable feet, which also ensure good decoupling of vibrations and the air supply from below.
