Because the front side of the Eclipse P400 Air is made of a metal plate with a fine-meshed grid, which on the one hand enables excellent airflow and on the other hand keeps the inside of the housing dust-free. The advantage of this solution in comparison to the usual combination of mesh and dust filter is obvious: the air can be sucked in much more easily by the fans installed behind it. In addition, the sturdy mesh makes something visually clear, especially if the case is illuminated inside and shines through.
Another visual highlight is the three pre-installed RGB LED fans, whose lighting is connected to an integrated controller and can be controlled via two switches on the I / O panel. Alternatively, the lighting can be adjusted via compatible motherboards, such as ASUS, ASRock, Gigabyte, MSI or Chroma software from Razer. Another highlight is the modern side window made of tempered and tinted real glass, which gives a breathtaking view of the installed hardware and gives the case a particularly elegant appearance.

Noble Midi-Tower with tempered glass window, insulation & LED lighting
The PHANTEKS Eclipse P400 Air Midi-Tower from the PHANTEKS Eclipse series offered here impresses already visually with its clear lines and the noble, rather restrained design in black. The metal mesh mesh front trim and large side window made of tinted tempered glass give the case a very classy look, further enhanced by the LED illumination of the three pre-installed 120mm fans on the front.
At the edge between the front and lid are the reset switch and the two LED controls positioned in the notch between the lid and the upper air inlet in the front. In the middle of the front of the lid is the RGB LED backlit power button, while the two audio ports and the two USB 3.0 ports of the front panel have been placed offset to the side. The majority of the lid takes a large, removable dust filter, which acts like a large mesh grid and rests on a large ventilation grille.
Media Enclosures for Gaming Graphics Cards & AiO Water Cooling
The interior of the Eclipse P400 Air also looks very precious thanks to the black paint finish and is divided into two parts by a power supply cover with perforated grille on the top. The PSU Shroud also hides the two drive bays, which allow a tool-free mounting of two 3.5- or 2.5-inch disks on the right side, after removing the side panels attached by thumb-screws. Behind the motherboard tray, up to two SSDs can be mounted in Drop-N-Lock SSB brackets, leaving 25 mm space for cable management. Velcro cable fasteners make it easy to lay cables and rubberized bushings in the tray protect the cables used.
For gamers and hardcore gamers, the PHANTEKS Eclipse P400 Air offers installation options for high-end gamer hardware in the form of up to 420 mm long graphics cards and radiator mountings for AiO and custom water cooling. For example, the case in the back offers built-in options for a 120mm fan or equivalent radiator, while the front can accommodate three 120's fans or two 140's fans. As an alternative to the fans, 280 or 360 heat exchangers can be installed in the front. For the installation of a 360 mm radiator, however, a cover in the PSU Shroud and the HDD cages must be removed. In addition to the three pre-installed 120 mm fans on the front, up to two 120 or 140 case fans can be mounted in the lid and one 120 on the back.
If you want to curb your processor with a regular CPU cooler, you can use a model that is up to 16 cm high, while a power supply up to 270 mm long can supply the power needed for the gaming system. The LED lighting of the fans can be connected to the integrated LED control of the housing. Two switches on the front panel allow you to select different lighting modes and colors. Alternatively, the lighting can also be connected and controlled via a mainboard with a corresponding RGB connector. The lighting is compatible with ASRock, Polychrome Sync, Gigabyte RGB Fusion, ASUS Aura or MSI Mystic Light Sync and also Razers Chroma software, which can control the mainboard lighting together with the respective housing lighting and the entire gaming PC Any lights and shines in the same LED effects.
With the help of optional accessories, you can install up to four additional 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch disks at the expense of the maximum length of graphics cards and eliminating the need for a front-mounted radiator. It is also possible to install a graphics card vertically.
