The innovative design of the Eclipse P600S from PHANTEKS mainly appeals to PC enthusiasts who prefer chic looks with successful technology. From the Evolv X of the same company, the Eclipse P600S inherits the possibility to install a second Mini-ITX in addition to the E-ATX motherboard and thus transform the computer into a dual system, for example with a dedicated streaming system or a server . In addition to sound insulation, the Eclipse P600S offers a tempered glass side door and shines with all sorts of features such as a front that can be removed for an optimized airflow. As usual, this housing from PHANTEKS is also extremely high quality.

The Eclipse P600S from PHANTEKS shines in form and function
First of all, the exterior of the Eclipse P600S from PHANTEKS catches the eye. The huge side door made of tinted tempered glass offers an unobstructed view into the interior and the hardware installed there. The inner area of the front is easy to remove, as is part of the lid. Both elements are provided with insulating material. Behind it is a fine-meshed mesh made of synthetic fiber, which serves on the one hand as an eye-catcher, on the other hand as additional sound insulation if the covers are omitted to improve the airflow. The net is magnetically attached to the front.

A whopping seven 120 millimeter fans can be accommodated in the PHANTEKS Eclipse P600S, three on the front, three in the lid and one on the back. Alternatively, six 140 millimeter fans can be installed, on the lid it is one less than of the 120 variants. PHANTEKS supplies three SK140 PWM fans at the same time, two are installed at the front, another is attached to the rear. At the back of the motherboard tray, there is a fan hub that has three 3-pin and five 4-pin connectors. Of course, a radiator up to 420 millimeters long can be attached to the front and up to 360 millimeters long to the top.

Plenty of space for hard drives and a second system
From the Evolv X, the P600S has also inherited the ability to accommodate numerous drives in it. With the included brackets, four 3.5-inch HDDs can be installed under the power supply cover. Another six can be accommodated on the front of the motherboard tray next to the motherboard. The corresponding brackets (GEPH-093) are available from PHANTEKS as accessories. On the back of the motherboard tray there are still slots for three 2.5-inch drives.

Another highlight of the PHANTEKS Eclipse P600S is the possibility to accommodate an additional Mini-ITX board in the housing. This requires an optional bracket from PHANTEKS that is available with (GEPH-099) or without (GEPH-092) riser cable. This allows a second system to be installed in the spacious housing, which can be used, for example, as a dedicated streaming system or as an additional server for virtual machines. To supply the second system with power, a power supply from PHANTEKS Revolt-X series (NEPH-001, NEPH-002, NEPH-003, NEPH-004) is available, which is designed exactly for this purpose.

Three vertical slots for graphics cards
In the PHANTEKS Eclipse P600S, the graphics card can be installed vertically. There are even three slots for this. A corresponding x16 riser cable is not included with the housing, but is also available from PHANTEKS at the appropriate angle (GEPH-097, GEPH-098), as a vertically installed graphics card rests almost directly on the power supply cover. In addition, there is a recess for the PCI connectors, which is provided with a sliding cover. If no HDD brackets are installed at the front, then the graphics card may be up to 435 millimeters long. Overall, the PHANTEKS Eclipse P600S makes a lot of sense, is with its design and equipment both suitable as a workstation and interesting for modders.
