At the edge between the front and the cover are the reset switch and the LED control, which was positioned in the notch between the cover and the upper air inlet in the front. In the middle of the front of the lid is the power button, which is backlit with an RGB LED, while the two audio connectors and the two USB 3.0 ports of the front panel are placed side-to-side. A large, removable dust filter, which acts as a large mesh grille and rests on a large ventilation grille, occupies the majority of the lid. The P400S is already equipped with reliable insulation in this version, which makes the whole system much quieter.

The Eclipse P400S Midi Tower was equipped by Phanteks but factory with noise mats for noise reduction. The left side part has been provided with insulating mats around the window, while the right side part has been completely provided with insulation material. Similar to the right-hand side panel, the insulated front is designed, only the lid makes an exception here. Thus, two square 140 mm insulation plates are used on the cover, which are placed from above on the ventilation grille. If one or both of the two fan slots are occupied by a fan, one or two square dust filters can be installed instead of the insulation plates.

Also the interior of the white Eclipse P400S looks very noble thanks to the black lacquer and is divided into two parts by a power supply cover with perforated lattice on the top. The PSU-Shroud also covers the two drive bays, which are turned through 90 °, which allow a tool-free mounting of two 3.5- or 2.5-inch data carriers on the right-hand side, after removing the side panels attached by thumb-screens. Behind the mainboard tray, up to two SSDs can be mounted in the "Drop-N-Lock" SSD brackets and 25mm space for cable management. Velcro cable fixtures allow the cables to be laid neatly and the rubber cable grommets pass through the cables.

For gamers and hardcore gamers, the Phanteks Eclipse P400S offers installation options for high-end gamer hardware in the form of up to 395 mm long graphics cards and radiator mountings for AiO and custom water cooling systems. For example, the case in the back provides mounting options for a 120mm fan or radiator, while the front can accommodate three 120 fans or two 140 fans. As an alternative to the front fans, 280 or 360 heat exchangers can be installed in the front. For the installation of a 360 mm radiator, however, a cover in the PSU-Shroud as well as the HDD-Cages must be removed. In addition to the two pre-installed 120 mm fans, one each in the front and one in the rear, each can be mounted up to two 120 or 140 housing fans in the cover.

If you want to control your processor with a regular CPU cooler, you can use a model up to 16 cm high, while a power supply of up to 270 mm can supply the gaming system with the required power. The LED lighting is powered by a 12V SATA cable, and a 4-pin connector can be used to connect the housing's LED illumination to an optional LED controller or a motherboard with an appropriate RGB connector. With the help of optionally available accessories, up to four additional 3.5- or 2.5-inch data carriers can be installed at the expense of the maximum length of the graphics cards and the absence of a radiator in the front. In addition, the case is compatible with ASUS Aura or MSI Mystic Light, which allows the mainboard lighting to be controlled together with the respective housing lighting, which allows the entire gaming PC to be uniformly illuminated and display the same LED effects.
