Noctua NF-A8 PWM Fan - 80mm [NF-A8 PWM]

Noctua is one of the well-known names in the silent cooling sector, with the Austrian manufacturer's CPU coolers in particular enjoying an excellent reputation. The NF-A8 is a premium 80mm silent fan with a square AAO (Advanced Acoustic Optimization) frame. Its square shape and 80mm mounting holes make it an excellent choice for use as a case fan. Thanks to advanced aerodynamic design measures such as Flow Acceleration Channels, the NF-A8 achieves even better silent cooling performance than the multiple award-winning NF-R8.

The PWM version is equipped with Noctua's specially designed NE-FD1 IC for fully automatic speed control and comes with a low-noise adapter that allows the maximum speed to be reduced from 2,200 to 1,750 rpm. Noctua's NF-R8 has become a standard solution for PC enthusiasts who require premium quality 80mm fans. Thanks to far-reaching aerodynamic optimization, the NF-A8 achieves even higher static pressure than its well-known predecessor, as well as a further improved ratio of delivery capacity and noise development.

The impeller of the NF-A8 is equipped with so-called Flow Acceleration Channels on the suction side. By accelerating airflow in the critical outer regions of the fan blades, suction-side vortex shedding is reduced, resulting in higher efficiency and lower turbulence-related noise emissions.

Noctua's AAO (Advandced Acoustic Optimization) frames have integrated vibration buffers as well as a stepped inlet area (Stepped Inlet Design) and an inner microstructure (Inner Surface Microstructures), which enable even better performance/noise efficiency.

The anti-vibration pads made of extra-soft silicone reduce the transmission of the smallest vibrations and are also compatible with all standard screws and commercially available mounting systems or fan clips used with CPU coolers.

In order to guarantee the greatest possible degree of manufacturing precision, minimal tolerances and excellent long-term stability, the NF-A8 uses a CNC-milled brass bearing shell. The NF-A8 is equipped with the further optimized second generation of Noctua's proven SSO bearing system. With SSO2, the rear magnet sits closer to the fan axis for even better stabilization, resulting in further improved precision and durability.
