Noctua NF-A12x25 5V PWM fan - 120mm [NF-A12x25 5V PWM]

The NF-A12X25 5V PWM is a premium 120mm silent fan with AAO (Advanced Acoustic Optimization) square frame. Due to the 5V specification, it is not suitable for operation on mainboard headers. Thanks to a 4-pin PWM connector, the fan speed can be regulated and is between 450 and 1,900 revolutions per minute. However, the fan runs pleasantly quietly at a maximum of 21.4 dB(A) and still offers an air flow rate of up to 96.2 m³/h and a static pressure of 2.07 mmH2O.

The Noctua NF-A12X25 5V PWM in detail

Thanks to the USB adapter, the 5V fan can be operated on USB power supplies and power banks for smartphones. With the OmniJoin adapter set and the integrated reverse polarity protection, it is also possible to safely install the fan in many devices with proprietary fan connections such as 3D printers, digital video recorders or network and storage solutions.

The PWM version is equipped with Noctua's specially designed NE-FD3 IC for fully automatic speed control. Its performance-oriented top speed and extensive speed control options make the NF-A12X25 5V PWMa top solution for users who want to achieve a perfect balance between excellent cooling performance and super smooth running.

The impeller of the NF-A12X25 5V PWM is equipped with so-called Flow Acceleration Channels on the suction side . By accelerating airflow in the critical outer regions of the fan blades, suction-side vortex shedding is reduced, resulting in higher efficiency and lower turbulence-related noise emissions.

Noctua's AAO (Advandced Acoustic Optimization) frames have built-in vibration buffersas well as a stepped inlet area (Stepped Inlet Design) and a microstructure in the inner area (Inner Surface Microstructures), which enable even better performance/noise efficiency.

The anti-vibration pads made of extra-soft silicone reduce the transmission of the smallest vibrations and are also compatible with all standard screws and commercially available mounting systems or fan clips used with CPU coolers.

In order to guarantee the greatest possible degree of manufacturing precision, minimal tolerances and excellent long-term stability, the NF-A12X25 5V PWM uses a CNC-milled brass bearing shell.
