The MPG Z390I Gaming Edge AC Mainboard (Mini-ITX) provides a total of one PCIe x16 slot, which is connected to the chipset with a full 16 lanes. The two DIMM slots support up to 64 GB of DDR4 memory in dual-channel mode. Native support of the Z390 chipset clock rates up to 2.666 MHz, OC allows the MPG Z390I Gaming Edge AC but also the operation of RAM kits up to 4,600 MHz. There are four SATA 6G ports and one M.2 slot for hard drives and SSDs. The M.2 slot is connected to the chipset with four PCIe lanes and supports the NVMe protocol, which allows data transfer rates of just under 4 GB / s.
