The MSI MAG B365M Mortar mATX mainboard has a PCIe-x16 slot that is connected to the chipset with a full 16 lanes. The board has two PCIe x1 slots for plug-in and expansion cards.

The M.2 slot connected via four PCIe 3.0 lanes supports the NVMe protocol and, in combination with a corresponding M.2 SSD, enables a data transfer rate of just under 4 GB / s. This is about eight times faster than an SSD connected via SATA 6G! Additional drives such as SSDs, HDDs and optical drives can be connected via six SATA 3.0 ports. A maximum of 64 GB of RAM with a clock rate of up to 2,666 MHz can be accommodated in four DDR4 DIMM slots.

The MSI MAG B365M Mortar provides four USB 3.0 ports on the I / O panel, one of which is equipped with the modern Type-C connector. Additional peripheral devices can be connected via two USB 2.0 slots and two PS / 2 ports. An HDMI connection for image playback via the processor's integrated graphics unit is also located on the I / O panel.
