The MSI B460M Pro-VDH WiFi Micro-ATX motherboard has a PCIe-x16 slot that is connected to the chipset with a full 16 lanes. The board also has two PCIe 3.0 x1 slots for plug-in and expansion cards.

The two M.2 slots connected via four PCIe 3.0 lanes support the NVMe protocol and, in combination with corresponding M.2 SSDs, enable a data transfer rate of just under 4 GB / s. This is about eight times faster than an SSD connected via SATA 6G! Additional drives such as SSDs, HDDs and optical drives can be connected via four SATA 3.0 ports. A maximum of 128 GB of RAM with a clock rate of up to 2,933 MHz can be accommodated in four DDR4 DIMM slots.
