The MSI B360M Pro-VD mATX motherboard has a PCIe x16 slot connected to the chipset with a full 16 lanes. For plug-in and expansion cards, the board has two PCIe x1 slots.

The M.2 slot, which is connected via four PCIe 3.0 lanes, supports the NVMe protocol, enabling a data transfer rate of just under 4 GB / s in combination with a corresponding M.2 SSD. This is about eight times faster than a SATA 6G connected SSD! Additional drives such as SSDs, HDDs and optical drives can be connected via six SATA 3.0 ports. A maximum of 32 GB of RAM with a clock speed of up to 2,666 MHz can be accommodated in two DDR4 DIMM slots.

The MSI B360M Pro-VD provides four USB 3.0 ports on the I / O panel. Other peripherals can be connected via two USB 2.0 slots and a PS / 2 port.

One DVI and one D-Sub connection for image reproduction via the integrated graphics unit of the processor are also located on the I / O panel. For the output of the on-board sound, the motherboard has three 3.5 mm jack outputs.
