The board manages data carriers such as SSDs and hard disks via four SATA 6G ports (including RAID support) as well as a horizontal M.2 slot, which is connected to four PCI Express 3.0 lanes and thus enormously high speeds up to can reach to 32 Gbit / s. M.2 SSDs from 42mm to 80mm in length can be used, and it also supports the advanced NVM Express protocol, which has been specially optimized for highly parallelized disk access of modern PCIe SSDs.

Compatibility Note for CPU Cooler on AMD Socket AM4:

Due to changes in the hole spacing in the socket AM4 compared to its predecessors AM2 (+), AM3 (+) or FM2 (+) require CPU cooler with back plate fitting accordingly compatible AM4 mounting kits, which should be considered before buying. CPU coolers, which are attached directly to the retention module of the mainboard, are fully compatible.

Compatibility Notes for Ryzen CPUs / APUs 2000 Series:

Attention: For mainboards with the chipsets X370, B350 and A320, it may be necessary to run a CPU / APU of the Ryzen 2000 series to perform a BIOS update, which, however, must necessarily use a CPU of the original Ryzen 1000 series! Corresponding motherboards with older BIOS versions are otherwise u.U. not compatible with a Ryzen 2000 CPU / APU.

Factory compatible motherboards are usually marked with a sticker labeled "AMD Ryzen Desktop 2000 Ready". Due to mixed stock, we can not fully guarantee until mid-2018 that an AM4 motherboard is already factory-compatible with the Ryzen APUs.
