Lian Li PC-D888WX 8Pack Limited Edition Big Tower - Black [PC-D888WX]

The "8Pack Limited Edition" focuses on the possibility to build a system with custom water cooling, for which the two-chamber design of the housing is predestined. So that the own creation can be admired accordingly, a window with the 8Pack logo is embedded in the left side panel.

In particular, the subdivision of the tower in two independent areas is advantageous for cooling solutions, since thus components can be distributed in both areas. The left panel is for mainboard and graphics card (s). These must be actively cooled. SSDs, HDDs, optical drives and a power supply can be moved to the right, uncooled area. These do not have to be actively cooled, but can be cooled if necessary. So dissipated heat is not transferred to the hard drives and SSDs and in return, no cooling performance will be lost on these components, if you do not want it. If you use a Waküsystem, at least then offers much more space for the hoses and waterpipes.

Limited big tower for custom water cooling & high-end gaming systems
The chamber on the left side of the "Lian Li D888WX 8Pack Limited Edition" is connected to the second chamber via eight tube feedthroughs and can accommodate motherboards up to the E-ATX form factor. There are eight PCI apertures available for installing a multi-GPU setup, while each pixel accelerator can be up to 420 mm long. Thus, the case provides sufficient space for high-end gaming graphics cards and possibly required WaKü adapter.

Up to eight 120mm fans can be mounted in the left chamber, three in the floor, one in the back and four in the front. These can also give way to a 360mm radiator in the floor and a 480mm heat exchanger in the front. For cooling the processor up to 165 mm high CPU coolers can be used. Above all, fans with LED lighting and color-matched hardware are particularly effective in the black-lacquered interior!

For the installation of CPU cooler backplates, a large recess is embedded in the mainboard tray. The tray itself is a little lower than the partition and should an E-ATX motherboard be installed, it conceals three of the eight cable glands. There is also enough space for cable management between the upper edge of the partition and the housing cover.

In the right-hand chamber of the "Lian Li D888WX 8Pack Limited Edition", a plate for mounting expansion tanks and water pumps has been integrated into the design of the Big Tower above the decoupled slot for the power supply unit. This horizontal plate sits at the bottom edge of the mainboard tray and does not close to the back of the case, allowing up to three 120mm fans or a 360mm radiator to be installed on the back panel. The lid can be fitted with additional 120mm fans or a 360mm radiator.

Behind the front are also a large, removable drive cage for up to five external 5.25-inch drives and two internal hot-swap bins, each with up to three 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch HDDs or can record SSDs. The hot-swap bays have their own power and SATA ports for the 3.5-inch drives.

The sober design of the D888 is as always with Lian Li brushed aluminum and held in very sharp linear shapes. Above the drive panels on the right side there are four USB 3.0 ports plus 1x audio input and output as well as the power button, a reset button and the LED indicators. The left side of the front is dominated by a large mesh grid, while on the cover two large mesh surfaces dominate the design. The window with 8-pack logo in the left side part lies above the motherboard tray and allows the view on spectacular own creations concerning the water cooling. And that's exactly what the "Lian Li D888WX 8Pack Limited Edition" was created for!
