Lian Li DK-Q2X Desktop Housing - Black [DK-Q2X]

The table housing or the housing table was born. With the DK-Q2, Lian Li remains true to the basic concept, but limits itself to a single system. However, this can be very royally equipped, for example, with a lush water cooling system including two 480 -mm radiators.

The customers of Lian Li are used to a lot of quality. Be it the use of high-quality materials such as the ever-present brushed aluminum or the always decoupled drive bays. Also with the DK-Q2 Lian Li has combined high quality materials with sophisticated technology and attention to detail. So it is little wonder that both the legs and the housing itself are made of fine aluminum.

Last but not least, there is a hardened glass plate on the top of the housing, which on the one hand is sturdy enough to be able to put a monitor on it, while at the same time exposing the hardware components and thus enabling potential lighting elements. The tempered glass plate is also easy to remove from the case. All in all, this results in a stately overall weight of 31 kilograms - without built-in hardware components.

The design of this extraordinary table case has been given a lot of thought, so that in addition to the unique design, the usability is not neglected. For example, a practical accessory tray with headset hooks can be placed on the left or right side of the table, depending on where the table is placed. The right "front panel" features a slim-slot drive bezel, four USB 3.0 ports, two audio jacks and a power switch, as well as three rotary encoders for the optional LED kit called LED50RGB-2.

Compared to its predecessor DK-02, Lian Li has considerably simplified the assembly of components on the DK-Q2. The complete tray that houses the motherboard, power supply and drives can be removed in one go with all the internal cables. In addition to easier assembly of the components, the cable management also benefits from this feature, as unused cables can be easily and conveniently hidden on the back of the tray.

When choosing a component, Lian Li is breaking new ground with the DK-Q2 to slim the design of the table and, together with the newly designed table legs, provide more leg room. Therefore, a PCI Express Extender cable is included to place the graphics card "lying" on the four expansion slots provided for this purpose. An optional second extender cable also allows the use of a second pixel accelerator. When using the drive brackets behind, the graphics card can be up to 280 mm long, and without drives at these positions, it can even be up to 440 mm. The same applies to the power supply: with drives up to 140 mm in length, without drives also up to 440 mm. CPU coolers must be lower than 90 mm.

In any case, the DK-Q2 is predestined for perfectly water-cooled water cooling. Together with the right LED lighting, true works of art are created. Four 120 mm fan slots each allow the accommodation of two 480 mm radiators. For a sufficient air flow from left to right (or vice versa) is taken care of. Another four fans can be attached to the supplied brackets on the back, so targeted to supply individual components with fresh air or to realize a completely different ventilation system.

From the outside, the side fan openings are not visible and are covered by a panel. In this dust filter to protect the inside of the table housing as long as possible from unsightly foreign particles. At the back are four covers, left, right and center, which you can unscrew to install a monitor mount instead. The four feet under the legs can also be increased by 30 mm, so that you can adjust its perfect position on the Lian Li DK-Q2.

If you want to install memory drives, the DK-Q2 allows you to integrate seven 3.5-inch drives or seven 2.5-inch devices. There are five positions on the tray where you can mount one drive at a time. In addition, Lian Li has two HDD bracket sets that can accommodate two drives at a time. Additional hard drives fit into the desktop housing with optional mountings. For optical drives, a slim slot is offered on the left front. If you do not need it, you can also install an additional 2.5- or 3.5-inch hard drive there.
