Lian Li BZ-H06B SATA Power Switch - Black [BZ-H06B]

This is an innovative SATA power switch. This allows the separate on and off the power supply to six SATA drives to save power to extend the service life and reduce the volume. These built on a Lian Li black aluminum panel of six switches, which each represent a drive. The panel is installed it into a 5.25-inch bay and the front panel LEDs indicate the state of activation.

At the back there are six 4-pin connectors. These are connected by enclosed, sleeved cables to the power connectors for SATA drives. The power supply of the power-switch via two 4-pin Molex connectors, which are connected either directly to the AC adapter, or adapter supplied with the SATA power connectors.

Overall, recommended that the BZ-H06 for systems with many drives, some of which are rarely used. Example: A computer has a DVD drive, a DVD burner, two HDDs in RAID 0 as the main system and two HDDs or as a backup for the data collection. Three of these drives it is rarely needed, namely the burner and the two additional HDDs, as only an occasional backup is required or a DVD is burned.

Connected to the power switch, they are activated only when needed and otherwise remain off. While keeping their data lines connected to the motherboard and the activation is comfortable with a pressure on the housing front.

The use is not limited to Lian Li case, but possible in all cases with a free 5.25-inch. The attached drives but must necessarily have a normal SATA power (not a mini-SATA in notebooks) to be connected to.
