The UltraGear 27GN800-B gaming monitor from LG offers a 27-inch, matt display with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels (WQHD). In keeping with the high refresh rate of 144 Hz, the screen has short response times of 1 ms (GtG). Thanks to these properties, the gaming monitor is particularly suitable for FPS gamers who want to play on a competitive level but still do not want to forego the image quality of an IPS panel.

The IPS panel of the gaming monitor impresses in particular with its very high color accuracy and stable 178 ° viewing angle. The UltraGear 27GN800-B displays 1.07 billion colors at 8 bit natively and supports HDR 10 for particularly natural-looking colors.

Thanks to the high brightness value of 350 cd / m², the monitor can also be used in well-lit rooms without compromising the legibility of the content. The contrast value of 1,000: 1 clearly shows differences between light and dark areas of the image.

The UltraGear 27GN800-B supports AMD's FreeSync Premium and G-SYNC Compatible features that significantly improve subjective gaming perception. The variable adjustment of the refresh rate to the images per second supplied by the graphics card prevents disruptive tearing effects. Especially when the frame rate drops in particularly hardware-hungry games, the gaming experience looks smoother and more trouble-free thanks to this feature.

Since the UltraGear 27GN800-B is particularly appealing to FPS gamers, LG has equipped it with some useful functions. A crosshair can be projected in the middle of the screen, which supports the player when aiming at opponents. The Black Equalizer brightens dark areas of the picture to make it easier to spy on enemies.

Connections and ergonomics
Output devices can be easily connected to the monitor via a DisplayPort 1.4 and two HDMI 2.0 connections. A 3.5 mm jack connection is available for headphones.

The monitor can be adjusted to your own sitting position using a tilt mechanism. Thanks to the VESA holes with a distance of 100 x 100 mm, it is also possible to attach the monitor to an alternative monitor bracket.

To protect the eyes, the UltraGear 27GN800-B has a blue light filter to protect the eyes and guarantee a restful sleep. The FlickerFree technology reduces the annoying flickering of the backlight of the screen and thus prevents symptoms of fatigue.
