The Intel SSD 660p series supports four standard 3.0 PCI Express lanes, and the 512 GB model achieves a maximum of 1,500 MB / s reading and 1,000 MB / s SLC cache writing, as well as fantastic IOPS values of 90,000 read or 220,000 when writing.

The key to the performance of the Intel SSD 660p is the dynamic SLC cache, which can scale its size according to the amount of storage used on the SSD. Less than 25 percent occupied, it reaches the size of 55 gigabytes in the 512-gigabyte model.
