The INNO3D GeForce GTX 1060 iChill X3 has a basestact of 1.556 MHz. With GPU-Boost 3.0 it can be raised to a boost clock of 1.771 MHz. The memory clock is at 4,100 MHz (8,200 MHz). The iChill X3 cooler design is used to cool the graphics card.

With the 2.5-slot high iChill X3 cooler, the heat from the GPU is transferred directly into aluminum slats via heatpipes. The card comes with a BIOS version, which completely turns off the fans at idle and at low load, thus enabling a semi-passive operation. The power supply is via an 8-pin PCIe power plug.

The six GB GDDR5 video memory of the GTX 1060 is connected to the GPU via a 192-bit memory interface, which achieves a memory bandwidth of 192 GB / s. The GP106 graphics chip has 1,280 shader units, which are designated as CUDA cores in NVIDIA.

The GTX-1060 graphics card family supports DirectX 12 and current gaming technologies, including NVIDIA Ansel, GameWorks, Warp, Stereo-X, VR-Audio, PhysX and SMP (Simultaneous Multi-Projection). SMP 4.0 offers great advantages for VR, curved displays and multi-display setups.

Thanks to SMP 4.0, Pascal supports 16 simultaneous viewports, which allow a much more realistic display on multiple monitors or on curved displays. Especially the gambling in the Virtual Reality (VR) benefits from the new technology, because two viewports can be rendered in one run. By using multiple viewports, the rendered image also comes with a smaller number of calculated pixels.

The GeForce GTX 1060 works with a TDP of only 120 watts and it is recommended to use a power supply with a power of at least 400 watts. The GeForce GTX 1060 has an HDMI 2.0b port, a DisplayPort 1.4 port, and two dual-link DVI outputs. The HDMI port supports HDCP 2.2 and can send and receive encrypted signals.

In order to exploit the full potential of the card in the future, new drivers of NVIDIA or INNO3D should be downloaded and installed at regular intervals.
