Versatile rotating fan with numerous applications
The structure of the Mars fan from IN WIN alone is particularly striking. The fan ring hangs on an approximately 110 mm long arm, which in turn is attached to the aluminum frame of the Mars fan. At the upper hinge, the fan ring and its rotor blades can be rotated by 360 °. Mounted around the back of a case, the fan can be rotated to temporarily deliver cold air into the case instead of blowing hot air out of the case as usual - without having to loosen screws.

The hinge of the arm on the frame can also be rotated 360 degrees, while the arm itself can be directed forward or backward at an angle of up to 100 °. This unusual fan can be specifically aimed at specific areas on the mainboard, for example when it is mounted on the lid of a housing or on a benchtable. The frame itself is rather thin and more like a bracket. For example, it can be mounted on another fan that already cools a radiator, for example. Thus, the Mars fan can serve as a second fan for the heat exchanger or just in case of need be directed down to the motherboard.

Exceptional connections and good values
Also very special is the connection of the Mars fan of IN WIN. On the fan ring, the 4-pin jack plug is inserted, which has a 4-pin PWM connector for connection to the mainboard at the other end. Alternatively, there is a cable with a USB instead of a 4-pin connector. Thus, the Mars fan can also operate externally, such as a test rig or as a table fan - because the values of Mars read also excellent. The USB dongle is still equipped with an on-off switch.

At 600 to a maximum of 1,400 rpm, the Mars fan achieves an air pressure of 0.69 mmH2O and a delivery volume of 65.8 m³ / h. Although it can only be used as a second fan on a radiator, it is quite efficient as a case fan. The low noise level of 25 dB (A) at maximum revolutions is clearly noticeable. That's about the whisper of a human being. The rubber buffers on the four corners of the housing help against possible vibrations. This is ensured by the double ball bearing of the fan, which also guarantees a long service life.
