InWin Alice: creative midi tower with chimney effect
The open-design plastic chassis of the InWin Alice was designed to use the chimney effect to effectively cool the components built into the case. The motherboard carrier is rotated 90 degrees so that the I / O panel on the main board is facing up and the connections for the expansion cards are also on the top of the housing.
The mounting devices for fans and radiators are therefore on the bottom and on the cover of the housing. Three 120 mm fans or a 360 radiator can be installed below and a 120 mm fan or 120 radiator on the top. Alice is suitable for CPU coolers up to 195 mm high. A plastic cover on the top protects against the ingress of dust. Two polyester sheaths are available ex works to cover the outside of the case: a gray one with no motif and a white one with black manufacturer logos.
The interior is equipped with two black steel sheets. The upper one serves as a motherboard tray and can hold motherboards in Mini-ITX, Micro-ATX and ATX format. E-ATX mainboards are also possible up to a width of 279 millimeters. Graphics and expansion cards must not exceed a length of 300 millimeters. The InWin Alice has a total of eight expansion slots.
In the lower area, the sheet steel divides the room into two areas: In the right-hand chamber there is an ATX power supply with a depth of 220 millimeters. On the left side, the steel sheet serves as a support for three 2.5-inch drives. Another 3.5-inch drive can also be installed under the cover. The I / O panel of the case is puristic: there is only a power button on the front.
