The Gigabyte B365M H-Micro ATX motherboard has a PCIe-x16 slot that is connected to the chipset with a full 16 lanes. The board has a PCIe-x1 slot for additional plug-in and expansion cards.

The M.2 slot connected via four PCIe 3.0 lanes supports the NVMe protocol and, in combination with a corresponding M.2 SSD, enables a data transfer rate of just under 4 GB / s. This is about eight times faster than an SSD connected via SATA 6G !. The M.2 slot is also compatible with M.2 SATA SSDs. Additional drives such as SSDs, HDDs and optical drives can be connected via four SATA 3.0 ports.
